1.      Make sure you are truly connecting the theme to the specific situation and the precise foreshadowing to a fairly specific prediction.

2.     Organize your paragraph with a topic sentence that introduces ALL your points.

3.     Use transition words throughout your paragraph (First, Second, Third or Finally, On the other hand, Moreover, Also, To begin with, To sum it up, In conclusion, Thus, …).

4.     Have a concluding sentence that wraps up your main ideas in a new and punchy way.

5.     Don’t be too repetitive.

6.     Watch for sentence fragments (SF), run-on sentences (RO) and comma splices (CS).

7.     Use your notes for incorrect homophones and spelling in words in the text.
